Hi, everyone! My name is
Sota Yoshikawa and I'm a sophomore student. I've been in Washburn for two
years and I was in military before I came here. I usually hung out with my
squirrel named Taro or went cycling in Japan, but I often feel
to find new hobbies because I can't bring my favorite bike in U.S and see my
dear pet unless I go back to Japan. the reason I came to Washburn was to want to study business but as I
live here, I realized universities offered the opportunity whatever I want to
study because universities in U.S can change my major anytime contrast of
Japanese universities. That’s why I chose mass media I’ve been interested in
since before. Though I don’t still learn something about mass media so much, I
can’t wait for studying what teachers will teach me because I want to be an
advertising director.
I have a brother and a sister and both of them already had worked since
I graduated from high school, but all of my family had a strange impulse that we
often want to travel, and he went to Fiji for studying English one years ago
and she quit her job and went to British. I didn’t totally understand why they left
this comfortable Japan at that time, but I got to know why they do like that
recently. When I was told that my mother and father went to many regions when
they were students and I felt journey was our traditional behavior. So, I occasionally
become homesick, but I’ll try my best in this foreign country for my dream.
I originally came to Washburn to get a business major and decided to change to Mass Media as well!
