Hallee Haar Introduction


Hello! My name is Hallee Haar. I am originally from Lawrence, Kansas. Since my Dad is in the Marine Corps, I moved around constantly as a child, and I actually spent the most time in Okinawa, Japan. I also had the unique chance to live on both sides of the country. Even though the coasts are really fun, I really love living in Kansas. My hobbies include knitting, reading, playing tabletop games, and playing video games. My favorite author is easily Neil Gaiman. When it comes to games my favorite tabletop game is currently "Betrayal at Baldur's Gate."  I love hanging out with my friends and animals. My favorite thing on the planet right now are my two cats Jack and Bianca and my two birds Gladio and Ignis. I decided to go into the Mass Media field, because I want to work in public relations at a nonprofit. I hope to eventually get a job doing public relations at a humane society. I ended up at Washburn, because I liked how intimate the school is. The sense of family at Washburn and beautiful campus made it the ideal college for me. I am looking forward to having a great semester with everyone!

    I have a lot of military family and I think its so cool that you have traveled the world before you have even graduated college!
