Kim Korber's Introduction

Hi everyone! My name is Kim Korber, and I come from a small town in northeast Kansas called Bern (population around 200). I was raised on a small farm my family owns. I've spent many summers growing up tending to the cattle and helping out in the fields. However, now I spend time reading, playing video games, and playing with my cats, but I dedicate most of my time to music. Whether it's listening to old favorites, playing along on my drum set, or discovering new bands, my life basically revolves around music. 

That's what lead me to be a mass media public relations major here at Washburn University. I chose Washburn because I love the campus and the class size. I also love the central location; I'm only an hour and a half drive from home and an hour from Kansas City. I decided to become a mass media major because I hope to one day work in the music industry. I have yet to decide whether that's by working in radio or by becoming a band manager. Guess we'll see where the road takes me! I can't wait to meet everyone and get to work this semester and even though my expertize is in the alt-rock/rock scene I'm more than happy to recommend new music!
