Introduction

My name is Hillary Pierson-Eib. I have a hyphenated last name because my dad adopted me when I was eight years old. I attended and graduated from The Barstow School in Kansas City, Missouri. I am an only child and I grew up in Overland Park, Kansas. In middle school, I moved to Wyandotte. My senior year of high school I moved to Olathe, Kansas. Throughout elementary school and high school I played tennis. My interests include anything that involves animals. In the future, I would like to open a doggy day care. Originally, my major was business. I choose mass media because it interested me. I came to Washburn University because it was not too far away from where I live. The main reason I came to Washburn University was because the class sizes were small. I’m in a sorority on campus, called Zeta Tau Alpha. I joined informally as a second semester freshman. Getting into Greek life is a great way to meet people and get involved on campus and in the community.
