Prior to Washburn, I spent my freshman and sophomore year at Southeast Community College in Beatrice, Nebraska. I was Academic transfer there because I did not know what I wanted to study so I got my general education classes out of the way while receiving a full baseball scholarship. My sophomore year we went to the Junior College World Series and it was the best experience of my life to this day! I chose to study Mass Media because I love to communicate with people and I enjoy technology. I believe that Mass Media is an incredible field to get into because of how much it grows as time goes on, and I want to work in a field that doesn't feel like a job. I chose to go to Washburn because of baseball and school, and I love the guys on the baseball team. I took a visit last October and automatically knew this was home!
It is really cool that you have continued on with your baseball career through college. I cheered throughout high school and my first semester of college, but for me it was just too much. Sports and school are difficult to do at the same time and its neat that you have continued on with both.
ReplyDeleteMan I hear that being able to play in anything close to an actual World Series is a special moment. Since you had been living in Nebraska since you were younger would you like to travel more as you get older and into your career? Has the MLB been a dream at all?
